Made in Madhya Pradesh

Mulmul fabric is crafted in the villages of southern Madhya Pradesh, India, where skilled weavers continue a centuries-old tradition of handweaving on local looms known as magtha. In collaboration with TOAST, these artisans create the lightweight yet durable mulmul fabric used in TOAST’s collections. The partnership, supported by the Kala Swaraj foundation, ensures year-round employment for the weavers and preserves the heritage of handwoven textiles in the region.

For TOAST, the mulmul fabric is transformed into beautifully draping shirts and scarves, designed with playful, gathered silhouettes that highlight the fine texture of the fabric. Each piece is the result of a careful, time-consuming process, where artisans handcraft vibrant, colorful textiles that are as unique as the emotions embedded in the work itself. With a focus on creativity, heritage, and craftsmanship, these garments bring a sense of joy and authenticity to everyday wear.
