It was created through the partial deconstruction of two worn archive trench coats which were reimagined with a draped, asymmetric structured shape.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“We used the original collars as the waistband, making the skirt adjustable while keeping a detail from the original workwear garment,” says Bethany. “I wanted this piece to feel clean and structured, but slightly off-kilter - something historical brought into the present. I wanted to retain the workwear feeling of the original trench while changing the way the garment sits on the body. This collection has also allowed me to build trust in my hands again after recovery, so working directly through draping has felt particularly meaningful.
